Destruction of Narcotics in Ciudad Juárez

The Attorney General's Office of the Republic (FGR), in collaboration with the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena), carried out the incineration of 1.8 tons of narcotics, 353 units of psychotropic substances, and crime objects on the border between Mexico and the United States. The event took place at the facilities of the Ninth Motorized Cavalry Regiment in Ciudad Juárez, with the presence of military authorities and the FGR.

Agents from the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) and the Internal Control Body supervised compliance with the regulations during the destruction of the narcotics. The incineration involved drugs seized in 37 investigations by the FGR in Nuevo Casas Grandes and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, including marijuana, methamphetamine hydrochloride, cocaine, clonazepam, tramadol, and MDMA.

These actions are part of the operations carried out by the FGR and federal forces to combat drug trafficking. Ciudad Juárez and other areas of Chihuahua are strategic points in the trafficking of narcotics to the United States. Authorities have intensified operations against drug trafficking in the northern region of the country, seizing large quantities of drugs and dismantling criminal networks.

The FGR reaffirmed its commitment to collaborate with Sedena and other security entities to combat drug trafficking and enforce the law throughout the national territory.
